Brand new CD “The Butterfly” on New Bell Recordings. Released March 2009. Showcasing Paul at his finest yet. It’s a beautiful work of sound stories. “I did everything I could to make this CD as concise as possible. I love the journey within a song, that’s what this recording is about. In it’s individual tracks and as a whole.”

What’s unique about Paul’s guitar music is the way the songs get stuck in your head. “I write them almost like a pop song. They need a hook, and they need drama too. A balance of theme, change and return. I wanted to make an album for everybody, not just guitar players.” This CD adds a new element to Paul’s sound-the 12 string guitar-which is featured on 4 songs. Percussionist and studio ace Glenn Rios added his brilliant percussion to several tracks.

14 Windows has unique vision. All songs are a single guitar, and each is prefaced with a monologue about the story of each piece, narrated by Paul. Monologue locations range from studio, radio,live and field recordings. These reveal his personal experiences in a very tangible way. The music becomes each subject, hence a window, because you know exactly what the notes are describing/seeing.
